Apollyon and The Locusts

“And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).” Revelation 9:3-11 (NIV)

We discussed the Fifth Trumpet a while ago and shared our thoughts about the locusts coming down to earth when the Fifth Trumpet sounds. I believe these so-called locusts are modern-day military drones. Millions of these drones have been produced for warfare. That’s every country’s focus for modern warfare when they can remotely control these flying drones to attack and gather intelligence, and the losses of these drones are minimal if destroyed. These drones are certainly not interested in grass or plants and can fly above 120 mph. When there is a swarm of military drones, the sound of their wings is like the thundering of many chariots rushing into battle. These drones can drop bombs and shoot like stingers. They all carry hi-resolution video cameras with telescopic lenses so the command center operators can see the objects clearly. The video cameras could be the human faces John saw. These military drones are in their sixth generation with AI that can identify objects and people through real-time image analysis without human intervention.

From my research of the Book of Revelation, I understood that God has everything under control. He controls nature, weather, floods, famine, earth movement, and celestial events. He leaves the rest to free will. The enemy and his demons can work via the unseen realm to control their minions in flesh and blood to accomplish their plans. But still, God has the ultimate control. Therefore, the events John saw 2,000 years ago will have to be explained using our current know-how because the Biblical time of the Book of Revelation is our time now.

Honestly, I have no idea why this person, Apollyon, would command these locust drones to attack those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. There can be many. There are many guesses about microchips embedded in the forehead that symbolize the mark on the forehead. It would make sense 20 years ago when AI was still a baby, and people used RFID chips for identification purposes. These AI drones only need to see the front view of the person because the facial features cannot be changed, but the embedded microchip can be removed. When the Bible mentions foreheads, it means the picture of the front face of a person in our time. I can only guess that Apollyon, a.k.a. Destroyer, cannot attack certain groups of people in his database for some reason. We will know that when the time comes.

Who is this person Apollyon, a.k.a. Destroyer?

I think he is the same person as the rider of the White Horse in Revelation 6 and the lamb with two horns that spoke like the dragon in Revelation 13. This person can command a big army and has enormous power on earth. Only a few meet the criteria out there. The Fifth Trumpet may sound before the arrival of the Pale Horse. But fear not; regardless of who this person is, our Lord will still come and He will set everything right.
