“From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Luke 12:52-53 (NIV)

We discussed the first three horses. Some may disagree, but it is difficult to deny what the White Horse and its rider, the false prophet with a bow (“Toxon” in Greek and “ Toxin” for us), symbolize: a plague so massive that it could be compared to the big flood in Noah’s time. This plague forced all nations, people young and old, to worship the beast. This kind of worship differs from young people worshiping a celebrity or adults worshipping a politician. It is a worship due to fear, fear for their lives. It was exactly what the enemy liked; he fed on fear, jealousy, and hatred. The enemy’s minion, the beast, set up images of the Toxin everywhere and constantly fed news of how many worshippers had died because of the Toxin. People don’t want to die, making it easy to comply with the rules. I don’t have to go into details because we all lived through that Toxin era. The beast was given authority for 42 months to sow division in families and friends from 2020 to 2023. I’m sorry to disappoint anyone. There is no more White Horse to come.

I have studied the Book of Revelation for some time. The events prophesized in this book are meant to happen before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Chapters and verses were explicitly written to describe each event. Some events co-occur even if they were described in different chapters. They don’t happen sequentially. I believe the events that must happen have already happened based on the current timeline. Again, this is solely from my research, and I hope for that understanding. I have also studied the enemy and his minions with our Lord’s help. They studied me first. It was unfair because I did not know they existed. Then, I met our Lord. You know what our Lord represents as the mighty reinforcement for this battle.

“When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” Revelation 6:5-6 (NIV)

I would like to skip the Red Horse of War and discuss the Black Horse. The Black Horse and its rider arrived in Spring 2024. The Black Horse symbolizes famine and starvation. I won’t go into detail about the current economic situation in many countries, including layoffs, the food and housing crisis. But I would like to share that I think the effect of each horse is often light in the first year. The true impact of these horses is the strongest in the second year. I saw it in the previous two horses. If we think this year 2024 is already hard, wait for 2025. I hope I’m wrong.

Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages

When ground, two pounds of wheat berries produce approximately 8 cups of flour, which weighs approximately 2.25 pounds. I don’t know how much a bag of 5 pounds general-purpose flour is in your city. I checked online, and it is between $5 to $15 based on quality. Suppose we consider $100 as the average daily minimum wage. The half bag of general-purpose flour of 5 pounds will cost $100 at the peak of the Black Horse.

Six pounds of barley for a day’s wages

I don’t know much about barley, but I fondly remember having barley soup when I was little. On average, the retail price for 6 pounds of barley is around $8.00, depending on the brand and whether it's hulled or pearl barley. It will also cost $100 at the peak of the Black Horse.

This tells us that food commodities will experience 1,000% + of hyperinflation. I experienced this kind of hyperinflation in Argentina, with 3,000% inflation in the 1980s. I remember the stores changing prices three times a day, and as a teenager, I had 5 million pesos in my wallet, equivalent to 5 dollars. Hyperinflation will cause the monetary system to collapse and shortage of consumer goods. If governments step in to implement price controls, it will lead to widespread food shortages. Hyperinflation will also destroy the value of savings and produce bank runs. Many banks will collapse, leading to more social unrest.

All the above have happened to several countries, and I was blessed enough to witness it myself. So you know all is temporary. When those things happen, people tend to seek God. Therefore, fear not because our Lord is coming soon.

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.” Revelation 22:12-15 (NIV)
