“Then he told me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near. Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.” Revelation 22:10-11 (NIV)
For new subscribers, I would like to take a moment to introduce Daily Cross. This ministry started in March 2024. We share what we know about discipleship, which is to deny oneself and carry a cross daily to follow our Lord’s command. We share what we know about our Lord’s return, which shall happen soon. We often quote the NIV Bible in Daily Cross, because it was the Bible given to me 13 years ago when our Lord found me at the bottom of a pit without strength and hope. I received His grace, mercy and love. I understood what Paul meant about being purchased with a price. I read this Bible daily and carry it wherever I go. This Bible still looks new, with no written notes and only a few tear stains. Some don’t like the NIV, and they did let me know. I also do my research with the King James version. I speak other languages as well, and I can tell you that the direct word-for-word translation of the Bible from the King James often doesn’t apply in those languages; otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense. Therefore, I don’t believe faith and unconditional love can be obtained based on the version of the Bible we read. The Apostles didn’t carry a Bible 2,000 years ago, and yet their names will be on the twelve foundation walls of the New Jerusalem when heaven and earth pass away. All good gifts can only be given by our Lord at His timing, as well as a strong faith and the ability to love as our Lord has loved and expect nothing in return.
Daily Cross is a ministry for Christians because not all Christians are disciples of our Lord, and not all Christians will be saved. The mission is to make disciples by showing the example of how to carry the cross daily, one day at a time. Most Christians are unaware of the true meaning of the Narrow Road that our Lord mentioned —a road of righteousness with unconditional love that only a few can find. It is often a road of solitude. It is very different from the broad road of complacency with the promise of secure salvation preached by most churches. This Narrow Road is unappealing to most because of the trials and tribulations involved. There is no other way because the purification of gold can only be achieved through fire. This Narrow Road journey is not just a few weeks or a few months. It takes time. A new creation takes time to form, the brokenness takes time to heal, and the trust takes time to build. One can never deny oneself overnight. Otherwise, human hearts will boast. It is not difficult to spot a boastful and deceitful heart because it claims all the credit, and it is the opposite of the heart of our Lord, which is gentle and humble.
I stopped sharing about our Lord with non-believers, unless they asked. I think it started with the White Horse event in 2020, during the pandemic. That’s when I really took to heart that everything is under our Lord’s will, and time is short. We are now in a different time—the Biblical Time of the Book of Revelation. In fact, we are in the second half of the Tribulation. All that must happen will happen. I follow the rule of Free Will and try not to argue with anyone who disagrees with me. Our Lord will not force anyone to love Him back, and who am I trying to do otherwise? Winning an argument does not lead to a change of heart. If the heart change is not the objective, then the debate is only for a selfish reason of pride. It doesn’t matter how eloquent one thinks oneself to be or how much knowledge of the Bible one has. Our Lord said that only the Father can enable the heart to come to the Son. We are only called to lead by example with a gentle and humble heart, so that the world may know we are His disciples.
Did I mention the Narrow Road is one of solitude?
The Narrow Road is only wide enough for two people, our Lord and you, to walk side by side, or it wouldn’t be defined as narrow. I was part of a few Bible study groups in the past. The groups would always watch sermon videos from many different preachers. Then we would discuss them and share our opinions. I honestly don't remember any of those sermons. But I do remember a few megachurch pastors in the videos who were later discovered with sex scandals. They have all written many books. I thought to myself, the Bible is only one book, and how come they manage to write hundreds of books? Weren’t we capable of understanding our Lord’s commands and needing their translations? There was only one request to the disciples from our Lord: to trust and obey His commands. Our Lord never spoke fancy words, and He would explain His parables to His disciples in a way they could understand. His disciples were uneducated fishermen, field workers, and a tax collector. But without these disciples, we wouldn’t have our Lord’s words and His examples of faithfulness that have been passed down through generations for 2,000 years.
Have you ever hired instructors to teach you a specific skill or area of knowledge that interested you? Have you changed instructors because you didn’t like them, or because others told you so? I have seen people go through this process repeatedly, endlessly seeking the right sermons and right preachers. If I were to tell you that the Master of all these instructors is willing to teach you and is available 24/7, and it is also 100% free with only one book required and no hidden fees. Would you give it a try? You must trust Him, though. This Master also said that you can become like Him if you are fully trained by Him.
“The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.” Luke 6:40 (NIV)
We know His words, and we have seen Him in the Bible. He went to the Cross for you and me so we can live. But He only trains one-on-one without middlemen. You’ve got to trust Him more than you trust yourself and the world. The dependency has to be like your life depends on it. I stopped reading those books by famous pastors and authors and threw them all away. I have been studying only one book, my Bible. I told myself that I must trust Him and have His commands written on the tablet of my heart. I would read my Bible over and over again. The noise and confusion finally stopped. Suddenly, everything became so clear, and our Lord’s words came to life. This process has been ongoing for some years and will continue until our Lord’s return. The church would tell you that you need people and groups for fellowship for your spiritual growth. I don’t know. In my experience, those fellowships felt like social clubs to me. No one could confess their sins and deny themselves in the presence of others, or it would expose their secrets to the church. So the sins continue.
Do not be afraid to walk alone. But walk alongside our Lord. It will be impossible to carry pride, resentment, or entitlement when you stand alongside Him. The only thing you may ask is forgiveness, and He will remove your fear and give you the wisdom you seek. He will also give you faith the size of a mustard seed so you can use it to move mountains on your journey. It will be the most humble journey when you trust and obey Him. Some say, Saints walk alone. Saints, defined by Apostle Paul, are those set apart and made holy by the sanctification received from our Lord Jesus Christ, not by their own actions or the actions of others.
Enjoy your journey with eyes on the Cross.

Thank you! I feel like I am walking alone. But I know Jesus has promised He will be with me always.
This has definitely been the year of walking alone for me as well. The original motivation was to get away from the crowd & come home to fast & pray for my son. Then I began to just enjoy the learning phase of studying His word & Him teaching me so many things. Now it feels more conducive to continue in some new disciplines & I am seeing different fruit actually. I honestly don’t think some of these patterns would have developed otherwise & difficult to explain unless you truly placed yourself as a student of His word. It was not at church or even in a classroom. Yes, do not be afraid to walk alone.
